Some of the funds depend on the topic you are studying. Examples include
Auctioneering / rural estate management / land agency studies - the Dick Harrison Trust
A career in a heritage type skill - the Heritage Crafts charity
Farming, forestry, game-keeping or horticultural industries - the Swales Fund
Horticulture or gardening specifically - the Lawrence Fund
Farming specifically - the David and Margaret Rankin Fund, the Barker Family Fund

Some of the funds depend on where you live. Examples Include
Burton in Kendal and surrounding area - The Burton in Kendal Educational Foundation
Lakes Parish - Kelsick's Educational Foundation
North East of Carlisle - The Border Fund
Allerdale and Copeland - Beverley Charitable Trust Fund, Gibb Charitable Trust Fund

Some of the funds depend on your particular circumstances. Examples include
Care leavers - Edmond Castle Educational Trust Fund
Refugees and/or asylum seekers - The Welcome Fund
Age - many of the funds have age criteria, something to check
Income - many of the funds are aimed at those with low income or disadvantaged backgrounds - something else to check

Some funds are open for application at certain times of the year. Examples include
City & Guilds Green Skills Bursaries - funding to study towards a qualification in industries facing skills shortages
H&H Rural Matters Bursary Fund - young farmers aged approximately 25–35 years who are looking to develop their skills, education
