

This course is an introduction to the Land-based industries with a particular focus on animal care and welfare. It provides an opportunity to investigate job opportunities and to acquire appropriate vocational skills. The course will include a substantial amount of careers related learning designed to support progression to the suitable next step, this could include educational trips, employability skills sessions and employer encounters such as guest speakers. For 16-18 year old learners this will be delivered as a study programme which includes English and Maths where applicable. The qualification you will receive is the City & Guilds Level 1 Land-Based Diploma which is assessed by online exams, coursework, projects, written assignments and observation of practical competence.
