Overview

This course is for those who are interested in tourism and might wish to work in the industry in the future. With many years' experience and outstanding results, our travel and tourism tutor is ready to help you to progress to a career in the tourism industry. From the start of the course you will be immersed in the tourism world, learning about UK and international tourism, taking part in role play activities and getting involved in College events. You will gain an insight into things like tourism branding, global destinations and the importance of tourism to a country's economy. Living in Cumbria there is easy access to a wide range of tourism businesses that we work with to support your learning and development.

Level 3 Certificate in Travel & Tourism may be studied as part of a mixed programme of 2 A levels and 1 CTEC or BTEC, or a Mixed Level2/Level 3 programme of 3 subjects.Mixed programme of 2 A Levels and 1 CTEC or BTEC requirements:At least 5 GCSEs at grade 5 or above or Merit or higher in relevant L2 vocational qualification.
