Cumbria Chamber of Commerce are working with Skills England and local authorities to improve our understanding of how skills, training and recruitment is affecting employers across the county.
Local skills improvement plans provide an agreed set of actionable priorities that employers, providers and other stakeholders in a local area can get behind to drive change.
LSIPs
1. Place employers at the heart of local skills systems
2. Facilitate direct and dynamic working arrangements between employers, providers and local stakeholders
3. Help learners gain the skills they need to get good jobs and increase their prospects
Cumbria’s Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) is a genuine partnership, employer led initiative, with the Chamber of Commerce being the designated Employer Representative body. It is a real commitment to working together on an ongoing basis to address Cumbria’s key skills challenges and support growth and productivity.
As such it would be greatly appreciated if you could take a short amount of time to complete this survey and contribute your views on these important issues.
Responses will also feed into the forthcoming refresh of Cumbria's LSIP, so this is your opportunity to shape how Cumbria's LSIP looks going forward.
There is also the opportunity to participate in a focus group to discuss further if this is of interest.
Please complete the survey as soon as possible, it takes 10-15 minutes. Deadline 31 December 2025. Please also share with your contacts, the more input they get, the better for the LSIP project and for securing future contracts.
