Sustainable You(th) Challenge: Growing a Better

Open to students aged 15-17 with a passion for tackling global challenges, driving climate-positive change, and exploring innovative solutions for a more sustainable future.

LANSS is pleased to promote this challenge which is open to any 15-17 year old studying or being home educated in the UK.

Successful applicants will participate in

  • A Challenge Day at Harper Adams University’s School of Sustainable Food and Farming
  • A hands-on residential weekend, also at the University, giving a deep dive immersion into the agri-food sector and future career pathways
  • The UK’s annual farm open day – Open Farm Sunday (OFS), seeing first hand how OFS connects thousands of people with farming and food production.

The Challenge is free to enter and travel bursaries are available for the above events. Applications are open from 18 October 2025 until 4 January 2026.

This is a partnership between LEAF, McDonalds and Harper Adams University.
