Produce Growers work with plants and crops to produce fruit, vegetables, flowers or other high-quality produce in outdoor fields, glasshouses, polytunnels or controlled growing environments. This practical role combines crop care, environmental awareness and efficient production, and can involve planting, irrigation, feeding, pest monitoring, harvesting and preparing produce for sale.
As a Produce Grower you may work independently or as part of a team, using both practical skills and technology to support crop health, quality and sustainability. The role can include monitoring growing conditions, identifying problems early, maintaining equipment and keeping accurate records, making it a great route into a wide range of horticulture and food-production careers.
