Goodlives is a local charity based in Cleator Moor that provides practical support for anyone living in Copeland (aged 16+) who is unemployed. We are here to help you with your next step towards employment, volunteering or further training. We offer a range of FREE courses to boost your CV and help you grow in confidence; so that you can achieve your goals. Our remarkable 1.6-acre site has been carefully transformed from idle wasteland into a thriving educational centre. After extensive groundwork and installation of essential infrastructure such as water, electricity, and drainage, the Goodlives site now hosts impressive facilities designed for growth, learning, and community engagement. Work outdoors, grow produce from scratch, use nurturing techniques until they are ready to harvest. Suitable for both experienced gardeners and beginners, promoting growth in various ways. The course is rolling and will teach skills as well as build upon existing knowledge. Supplementary online courses and CV support also available.
The site is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The course runs 10-2 each day. Help with transport is also available.
