Photo Competition 2025

Whether you’re lucky enough to be able to visit this year or have photos from previous visits, all entries are welcome. We'd also love to see the landscapes in all different seasons so please dig back through your archives for those sensational snowy scenes and brilliant bright blue skies too.

It doesn't matter the subject, fells, lakes, woodlands, villages, wildlife, dark skies or something a little bit different, we'd just love to see your favourite photos and memories of the Lake District.

For 2025 we also have a special category to link in with the launch of our new project "Hedges and Edges": ‘Hedgerow Life’. This might include wildlife, fauna and flora, fruits, nuts, flowers, etc. and celebrate our nature-rich, biodiverse and critically important hedgerow habitats.

Submissions should ideally be landscape orientation, and you should be able to provide a high-resolution image for replication in print at a4 size upon request.

Winning entries will be used to create this year's Christmas cards and 2026 calendar. All money raised from the sale of the calendars and cards goes towards supporting the Lake District’s world class landscapes and heritage.

Closing date is 30th June 2025.
