Neurodiverse Networking Event, Gosling Sike

Neurodiverse Networking Event, Gosling
Sike

People + Education
23/02/26 Rachel Toyn

We were delighted to host this event in conjunction with the Chamber of Commerce at the beautiful Gosling Sike Cumbria Wildlife Trust site.

We heard from Jade Clifford of iCan Wellbeing, and James Cobbold of Raise Cumbria who shared their experiences of being diagnosed as neurodiverse and the impact of this on their lives and their work.

iCan Wellbeing is a health, wellbeing and social support charity. At iCan they aim to support people living in Cumbria to break down their fitness and wellbeing barriers from I can’t to iCan. They aim to empower people to live healthier, happier lifestyles through their range of accessible and affordable services led by lived experience team members, volunteers and mentors.

Raise is a neurodiverse collective bringing together foresters, scientists, creative practitioners, policy makers and local communities. Their aim is to improve access to green spaces, trees and woodlands for everyone living in Cumbria Community Forest. At the heart of all they do, they celebrate neurodivergent perspectives in climate action and leadership.

There were also lots of great discussions, sharing and questions from the audience and a wonderful tour of Gosling Sike.
