Interested in building practical woodland management skills and contributing to nature restoration in Cumbria? Join Raise as a Volunteer Community Forester through our neuro-affirming volunteer programme. This inclusive woodland volunteering initiative is designed for neurodivergent people and anyone who values accessible, welcoming outdoor spaces. Volunteers help create and care for community woodlands across Cumbria through practical environmental and creative activities. Through our sessions, volunteers can take part in tree planting, woodland maintenance and biodiversity monitoring; learn practical skills in forestry, ecology and creative approaches to nature; work alongside foresters, artists, scientists and community practitioners; and spend time outdoors, building confidence and connecting with others. No previous experience is needed - just curiosity, an interest in nature and a willingness to get involved.
