Overview

We are the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority, an organisation that protects, enhances and promotes the immense beauty, wildlife and cultural heritage of the Yorkshire Dales. Do you want to build your skills and confidence while helping young people explore the outdoors and connect with nature? Are you passionate about making the outdoors more accessible and inclusive? If yes, this traineeship could be a great fit for you. We’re looking for a Youth Engagement Trainee to join our friendly Access and Engagement Team. You’ll help deliver inspiring activities that support young people, particularly those who face barriers, to access, explore and connect with the Yorkshire Dales. You’ll work closely with the Access and Engagement Project Officer to plan and deliver engaging sessions for young people, both in their local communities and across the National Park. You’ll also contribute to wider projects led by the Access and Engagement Team. This traineeship will help you build valuable skills and experience for a future in outdoor learning, youth work, or community engagement. We’ll support you to shape your development around your interests and career aspirations.
