

Myerscough College can offer you the opportunity to train at the best land-based College in the North West, with excellent facilities for Horticulture. At the Preston centre we have new glasshouse space offering four separate growing zones with LED lighting and computerised temperature control. You will work in the Award Winning Myerscough Gardens, helping to look after beds and borders, learning maintenance techniques and growing your own vegetables.
Our work experience opportunities will enable you to further your horticultural skills in a setting that will enhance your knowledge and improve your communication, team-building, customer care skills and confidence. This course covers practical skills and relevant background knowledge. Students need to be interested in the subject area, with some practical gardening knowledge desirable. Academic qualifications are not essential, but a basic level of maths and English is important.
